Curry, Football and Austerity…

Hello Moli blog fans, Sorry I’ve not updated.  I’m sure you missed me…. No?

Here are some rumbling thoughts…

World cup fever is gripping the nation and every other car has an England flag or two hanging on the side. I’ve seen flags attach to houses and I’ve got one strapped to my balcony. The nation is getting behind the England team but the team don’t seem to be behind the manager. I know nothing about football and never watch a game or even have a team to follow. However I have watched every single world cup match and I’ve loved it. Sadly I’ve not loved the England matches with one exception. The one I watched the other day.  The all important win that puts England through to the final 16. I’m not sure how or why but something has changed in the team for the better. Was it a big team talk or a reduction in the noise from those bloody Vuvuzela. I hear the FA want to ban them… Come on England!!!

So, why haven’t I updated my blog?  Well, I’ve been busy working.   However, all work and no play make MOLI a dull boy, so to get away from work Iwent for a great big curry down Brick Lane.

Okay, it was with the people I work with and I’d spent all day with them already but we had a good time.  Yes, the table was heavy with managers at one end and the colleagues down the other but I think it worked out okay.  Who knows if we will ever get the chance to go out again anytime soon…

I’m not sure if it’s meant to be something flattering or taking the piss but while I was giving a briefing the other morning I was being sketched by a member of staff…

You decide…  I’ll either give him a hand shake or punch him in the head!!! The power is in your hands…

A week ago to coincide with the visit from French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the French Navy went past my flat in the Destroyer Latouche-Trevile. I thought it was impressive and the first warship I’d seen go past in ages…

I read in the press that the audience that sit behind the X-Factor judges have to be good looking and any ugly people are turned away.  Well, it would seem that if an ugly person is in the crowd behind them and security can’t get rid of them, just stick a big fake head over them instead… Check out the Daily Mail Website!!!

I’ve decided not to get the new iPhone 4.  I’ve seen one and I’m not that impressed.  It’s expensive with poor data plans and frankly we are in economic austerity.  It would be rude not to save the money for a rainy day and wait for the iPhone 5 which will have a 3D screen, Cook the dinner and be made from Jelly!!!

Well, thats all for now. Back soon.

Much Love,

M

I think that the colleague in question needs a punch in the head. And the drawing is quite good for a sketch.

But he clearly couldn’t have been listening to the briefing. So punch!!

Brick Lane was a good laugh.
